Happy New Year!

Happy New Years folks! I know it'll be a good one for me. Not because I predict that I'll have success and happiness but perhaps because I'm resolved to not let things get to me anymore. I had a very nice relaxing time in Denmark, got some good stuff while I was there and made some new friends. I actually made friends with a customer and we met up in Denmark. She was nice enough to give me a quick tour of Copenhagen while we discussed fashion and stuff. How great is that?

Keeping up with my new years resolution I've hit the yoga studio quite a few times. I've finally found a cure for my miserable back aches. I've signed up at a new yoga class called "Bikram Yoga". It's quite popular in the States where it has gotten a little bit of criticism because it's founder Bikram Choudhury has been said to be franchising it. Franchising or not it's great stuff. You practice it in a superheated room which is 40.5 celcius (105 F) and you always do the same series of asanas (poses) for 90 minutes. People are practically in their bathing suits in there and today I noticed a guy just wearing boxers. Like underwear boxers. I didn't stare at him. Anyway, the first time I went I nearly fainted several times (which I was told was normal) and I really couldn't do much of it. The heat makes you flexible but also lightheaded. Today was my fifth time and I actually did not feel dizzy once! I've gotten considerably stronger and I'm less tense. So I'm getting better real quick. The yoga class is right by my house so I think it's going to work out between us.

On the negative side I think I need to mention something about the war at the Gaza strip. I wish more was done. What bothers me the most is that not a lot of people are very clear on what's really going on down there. I recently saw a documentary called "Peace, Propaganda & the Promised Land" which looks at the whole story, unfiltered from the media. You can watch the video for free at google video here. I have to warn you, there are some pretty ugly scenes in there. I'm looking forward to Obama's inauguration in 8 days, I really believe in this guy. I hope he does make a change.

But enough with resolutions, yoga and propaganda. Some shop updates:

2009 is a free shipping year for morelle! It really makes things easier for me and my customers so enjoy!

My studio is now SMOKE FREE! I've had quite a few complaints about that which always confused me because I don't smoke. Jesper did smoke in the living room, away from my fabrics but I suppose they got the smell. The worst thing is that because of my allergies I couldn't detect it myself. I smelled and smelled the bags before I sent them but I couldn't smell anything! But now Jesper has quit, I got rid of the old fabrics and the house has been aired out for good. So no more problems there.

I'm a little short in stock now but more items will come, I promise. I'm actively looking into outsourcing solutions so hopefully in a few months I'll be overflowing with merchandise. So patience.

Here are some stuff recently added to my shop. Yes, I like the neo-hippie look and a lot of my new collection will be based on that. Don't worry, Truffles and Oysters are here to stay!

Sara:

I love your purses! I'm excited to see more of your new line! Especially the Morchella purse. :)

Helly:

I just bought your patchwork bag from Etsy. The picture looks so pretty; I hope the real thing looks as good as the picture.
Thanks!
