I had a sad realization last night. I haven't had a day off for weeks. Probably since I released my new collection in March. Lately I've been working 15 hour days and it's taken it's toll... I love what I'm doing but my back is a ruin and yes, I've ran out of clothes to wear one time too many. I have four weeks left of my office job and then I'll be free as a bird! I can't wait!
But until then I can't go on with my 15 hour work days so I decided to pull some stuff of the store. I left the charlottes because they are easier to make. The machiavellis and city bags are out for now but fear not, they will return! I'm going to spend some time improving the designs a bit and finding a more effective way to make them. The baggies are also out for now but they will return as well! I am also going to spend some time finding vendors for my supplies and experiment on new designs.
For the time being my little shop is filled with Charlottes. I've squeezed in some time this weekend to make some in new colors. I've made some in canvas and some in linen. In the linen ones I used a button, like the first morelle tote ever made... I just love those buttons! These linen totes are perfect for the summer. I used my first one last year and it never came off my shoulder. It's really nice to think that now shoulders in different places around the world are carrying one as well :)

You poor gal...take a break! I should really be following my own advice too. It's been 12-15 hour days for me as well, and working on the weekends as too.
The tricky thing with making your craft your job is that we really enjoy what we do - so at the time we're doing it, it doesn't "feel" like work. BUT we end up paying the price with backaches, exhaustion, etc.
I *so* need a vacation (sounds like you do too!). We haven't been on one since our honeymoon over 5 1/2 years ago - it's SO time!

You've been so busy. You deserve a little break!! I've been admiring your new additions, especially those Charlottes in linen. Enjoy your time off :)
