My oven cozies

From all the things I've made I feel like these cozies have not gotten the attention they need..

DSC02038.JPG

I made them with a precious small piece of fabric I had, just the right amount for them. Last time I made cozies for my sister I made them too skinny so this time I decided to fatten them up with filling. The end result was a giant glove. It was funny and stupid at the same time. Is it really that hard to get the right amount of filling in an oven mitt? Despair came over me. Since I had already sewn it I made a hole and tried to pull out as much out of the filling as possible. But the mitt was still fat. I made the second one but made it a little thinner. They are still large, not giant. So they are not perfect, one is fatter than the other. But still lovable. I have them for sale, but deep inside I want them for myself. I especially love the bows on the back.

I sold my last green bag yesterday. This time it went to Canada. My mother would be proud :) I'm going to start working on a new collection soon. As soon as I get the money from my sales that is. Hard times to be working part-time and to be paying off two student loans. Who would have known that all that psychology would just stay in my head and instead I would be producing bags? I suppose it's another way of giving back :) With my new collection I will remove the oven mitts from my store and will be selling only bags and cozies. If they don't get sold by then, they will be mine forever!
