Manufactured Landscapes

This is the view of my new office. And I'm lucky, the other side has a view of a wall one meter away. The company I work for recently moved to an industrial neighborhood, pretty much right by the central station. Believe it or not it is better than when we were located right by muntplein. The only advantage of that location was its proximity to Kalverstraat - the shopping street in Amsterdam. Now we are located right behind the Amsterdam Public Library. So much so that it's impossible to find us.

We went to the library for lunch today and I was amazed. This is the first public library that I've seen that is so cool. Check out the imacs:

The library is something like five floors. Very modern design. imacs for public use everywhere. I'm enticed to spend a few hours in there, reading and feeling intellectual.
