Happy Valentine's Day

I hope there are not too many lonely people out there today... I am lucky. I have the best boyfriend a girl could ask...We've been together for three years now and I wouldn't trade him for anything else in the world. I've been so busy bagmaking lately that we haven't been able to spend a lot of time together. Until now it was him working late nights, stuck in front of a computer screen writing strange code. Now I've joined the madness. When I start a bag I get into the zone and I can't get out of it. Fabrics, thread and especially PINS all over the place. I'm lucky no man or cat has gotten injured yet. I need to make some order in my life. A schedule or something. Mornings bagmaking, afternoons at my real job, evenings cooking, eating and then bagmaking again. It's a crazy life being an indie... Yesterday, after an eight hour shift at TomTom, I went home and made a new bag...

The fabric is a hard cotton. It used to be something else so it's recycled, but in great shape because it was never used. That's why I made it into a bag. And I'm really proud of myself because I actually did a great job with the zipper this time. Zipper 0 - Katie 1. I love this bag because it's so simple. I love how you can just get one fabric in a not_so_exciting color and make it something pretty. Like that Norwegian commercial said: "The simplest is often the best". It's up for sale and I hope it will find a new home soon.

You're extremely talented; you should definately try asking some stores to display some of your stuff as well... I have to say I'm envious :) Hope you had a nice Valentine's!

Thank you for those kind words! I will definitely keep coming back to this comment if I'm feeling discouraged :)

I love your bags totally. The totes especially. Because they are big and simple.. Just can't stand complex bags. i am impressed by your works !
